Collection Couture Summer 2025

For the most spectacular piece of imagery in this new Couture Spring/Summer 2025 collection, Maison Natan collaborates with another institution of luxury and craftsmanship: Maison Février, the historic Parisian feather artisan, under the wing of the Moulin Rouge.

The two Couture Houses had already blended their expertise for Natan’s 40th anniversary and are renewing their creative partnership for the creation of a “cage dress” with a paradoxical structure of iron and feathers. Imagined by Natan’s design studio and completed within the workshops of Maison Février, by exceptional artisans.

Founded in 1929, Maison Février, whose excellence in feather work is recognized by Haute Couture houses across Europe, was acquired in 2009 by the Moulin Rouge group to preserve and perpetuate French craftsmanship for the most prestigious Houses.

To create this unique dreamlike dress, rooster feathers were assembled on rigid circular structures. A whip frame of rooster feathers, tied to metal, reveals the finest techniques of this craft. Only the tips of the feathers—debarbed, bleached, and re-dyed—were used. The result is the hypnotic marriage of transparency and excellence. The silhouette is suggested, and the imagination can run wild. Belgian and French craftsmanship united their approach to handwork, first working in miniature on dolls. This piece will remain iconic, enduring: the feather, made of keratin, can potentially be preserved for centuries. The know-how is shared, and Couture endures.
